AROORK Designer Business Support is an accounting firm working exclusively with interior designers nationwide who use the accounting and project management software, Studio Designer.
Qualifications:
Candidate should possess skills to be able to work independently, develop relationships with client personnel and begin supervision of staff
Resourcefulness, creativity, initiative, independent thinking, and sound business judgment
Experience:
Public accounting: 2+ years (Preferred)
Bookkeeping: 7+ years (Required)
Studio Designer Software: 1 year (Required)
Work Location:
100% Remote (US ONLY) Candidates must be based in the United States
Time Requirements:
Flexible hours but candidates must be available to work during regular business hours 5 days a week. Minimum commitment of 25 hours (Part-Time) or 40 hours (Full-Time) per week (see below benefits for Full-Time candidates only).
Responsibilities:
- Staff Bookkeeper will be responsible for assigned clients' needs in addition to but not limited to the following:
- This position will require independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload and ensure work is completed within agreed-upon time frames.
- Remotely connect to assigned clients and provide Studio Designer software training/troubleshooting.
- Monthly reconciliations of cash and credit card account transactions
- Enter daily and monthly sales for credit card payments, wire transfers, cash receipts, etc.
- Confirm A/P and A/R accounts are correct.
- Complete invoice processing as required for sales tax purposes
- Resolving accounting vendor and client payment discrepancies
- Assisting in month-end close procedures, journal entries, preparing financial statements, sales, and payroll tax reporting, other reconciliations, etc.
- Year-end 1099s
- Listens carefully to client questions and needs
- Adhere to strict client confidentiality
- Maintain a professional development plan to continually develop technical and professional skills consistent with the Firm's requirements and philosophy
- Other client projects as needed
Salary and Benefits:
- Best competitive pay in the Accounting for Interior Design industry, based on qualifications and experience.
- Pay: $52,000 to $83,200

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (CPA plus but not required)
- Ability to professionally lead accounting engagements (experienced staff) and maintain multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge and experience of generally accepted accounting principles, GAAP, and business tax-related laws and regulations.
- The individual should possess skills to be able to work independently and develop relationships with team and client personnel.

Experience:
Public accounting: 5+ years (Required)
Studio Designer Software: 1 year (Preferred)

- Enter Year-End Journal Entries as required
- Remotely connect to clients and gather information for Studio Designer Software conversions
- Sales Tax and other tax filings, government reporting, and payments to multiple jurisdictions
- Perform month-end close procedures, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Listens carefully to client questions and needs
- Adhere to strict client confidentiality
- Maintain a professional development plan to continually develop technical and professional skills consistent with the Firm's requirements and philosophy
- Other client projects as needed
Salary and Benefits:
